Stop settling for boring and generic "wellness" practices
If you want people to participate, give them something worth participating in.
Most corporate wellness is built to check a box, not change people. I have worked inside corporate environments, and I have seen how quickly “wellness” becomes an afterthought—a standard health portal, an annual presentation, a step challenge, or another mandatory initiative employees sit through before getting back to their actual work...
The problem is not that people do not care about their health. The problem is that intelligent, driven, high-functioning people are rarely engaged by something that feels watered down, impersonal, or disconnected from the pressures they actually deal with.
The goal is to genuinely challenge people, teach practical skills, and give teams something they can actually use when they return to their work and their lives. The format can change depending on the organization, but the objective stays the same: stop treating employees like passive recipients of wellness information and give them meaningful opportunities to become healthier, more resilient, more capable, and more engaged.
